CHARLESTON,SC— The South Carolina State women's tennis team seeks their first win of the season on the road Saturday (Feb.6) against host Charleston Southern at the Buccaneer Tennis Complex. First serve for double begin at 1 p.m., with singles action following.

SC State opened regular season play on January 26 with the Bulldogs traveling to Georgia Southern (L-2-5) and Jacksonville, while also taking on North Florida (L-0-4) and Florida State (L-0-4).

Last season, SC State went 9-9 in the regular season and finished second in the Southern Division Poll. The Bulldogs fell in the MEAC Championship match and were picked to finish second in the MEAC South Division in this year's preseason poll.

The Bucs opened with the Bulldogs last season, topping SC State 6-1 at the Buccaneer Tennis Complex on February 14. The Bucs won five of the six singles matches and swept all three doubles contests in recording the 6-1 win.
