DeLAND—The South Carolina State Lady Bulldogs tennis team dropped a tough, 6-1, decision to Stetson University Sunday (Feb.21) at Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.

The Hatters (2-3) turned in dominating performances at nearly every position, sweeping doubles and taking five of six singles matches.

Junior Dakota Brown won the only singles match for South Carolina State (1-5) with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Brittany Hill at the No. 5 spot.

SC State returns to action on Saturday (Feb. 27) against East Tennessee State in Wilmington, NC.
