CHAPEL HILL – The South Carolina State (3-7) women's basketball team close out its non-conference schedule on the road versus North Carolina (10-2) Friday (Dec. 30) in a 2 p.m. showdown at Carmichael Arena.

SERIES HISTORY
UNC owns a 3-0 edge in the all-time series with South Carolina State. The last matchup came in December 2016 with the Tar Heels winning 92-42.

LAST TIME OUT
The Lady Bulldogs look to snap a four-game skid after dropping a tough 58-74 loss to Georgia Southern on last week. Three players were in double figures with Bryeasha Blair leading the way with 15 points and nine rebounds, followed by JaQuanna Murray with 11 points, four rebounds and Jahmia Bradley with 10 points in the loss.
Meanwhile, UNC has won six of its last seven games leading into Friday. The Tar Heels have shot above 50.0 percent in back-to-back games for the first time this season and have done so three times overall. North Carolina is led by Stephanie Watts with 19.6 ppg and 9.1 rebounds.
