CAYCE,SC—The South Carolina State women's tennis team ten year championship run came to an end Saturday (April 17), after a tough 4-0 defeat to Bethune-Cookman in the MEAC Women's Tennis Championship Finals at the Cayce Tennis and Fitness Center.

BC-U avenged last year's loss in the championship match with the victory over the defending MEAC Champion  SC  State Lady Bulldog to capture their first league championship since 2001.

SC State ends the season at 9-9, while Bethune-Cookman improves to 22-6.
