Box Score JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The East Tennessee State women's soccer team defeated South Carolina State 6-1 on Tuesday evening at Summers-Taylor Stadium.
 
The game was a 6-0 shutout until senior defender Breia Pierce scored SC State's only goal in the 76^th minute. Junior goalkeeper Haley Austin spent the entire game in goal and tallied a season-high seven saves with four coming in the first half.
 
East Tennessee State (5-0) took 31shots (13 on goal) compared to the Lady Bulldogs' 12 shots (four on goal).
 
SC State (1-3) returns home to host USC-Upstate at 7 p.m. on Friday.
