GREENSBORO, NC – South Carolina State (7-17, 5-9)Monday will try to avenge on of its 17 losses when its faces North Carolina A&T in the first game of a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheader, beginning at 6 p.m. The men's contest will follow at approximately 8 p.m.
In an earlier meeting at Orangeburg Feb. 17, the second-place Lady Aggies (22-4, 12-2) rolled past the Lady Bulldogs 73-49. Coach Tarrell Robinson's team will be seeking a sweep of this year's series Monday.
Coach Doug Robertson's team is coming off a 60-43 loss at North Carolina Central on Saturday. Graduate
Cabriel Duren had 14 points and six assists in the setback. Duren is the team's second-leading scorer with an 11.0 average.
Junior
Kourtney Williams, who has been hampered by injuries, is the SC State scoring leader with a 15.4 average, while senior
Cherisha Floyd is the top rebounder with 6.6 each outing.
NC A&T, which won at home Saturday 73-61 over Savannah State 73-61, will be led by senior Tracy King with a 13.7 scoring average and a 6.0 rebounding mark.
