MTN: SC State Set To Battle Kennesaw St.

The Bulldogs seek their first win of the season.
KENNESAW, Ga. – The South Carolina State men's tennis team returns to the courts on Saturday (Fe.8) when they travel to the peach state to take on the Owls of Kennesaw St. at Fair Oaks Park in Marietta beginning at 2 p.m.
 
The Bulldogs will be seeking their first win of the season after dropping back-to-back contest to Costal Carolina (6-1) and William & Mary (4-2). The Owls (1-2) return home after a 1-1 weekend road trip to Greenville, NC. on Jan. 25 and Jan. 26. KSU handled Longwood, 6-1, before suffering a 6-1 loss at East Carolina.
 
Head coach Hardeep Judge enters his 13th season at the helm of the tennis program at South Carolina State University. First-year head coach Eduardo Rincon looks to coach is team to another win as the Owls seek to even their season record.

"The Bulldogs will bring a team that won the MEAC Conference title last year and advanced to the NCAA Tournament," Rincon said. "Our team has been working hard during the last two weeks and looking forward to competing against South Carolina State on Saturday."

Saturday's contest will be the lone home match for the Owls before they begin a stretch of six straight road matches.

The Bulldogs are coming off a 16-4 overall record in 2013, including a 3-1 mark in the MEAC. South Carolina State winners of the last 9-of-10 conference championships captured the crown last season and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
