Antonio Hamilton were both named to the Sports Network FCS All-American First Team.
Hargrave (6-2, 295) was recently named to the AP FCS All-American First Team, BSN (Beyond Sports Network) All-American First Team, All-MEAC First Team, the 2014 MEAC Defensive Player of the Year, BOXTOROW National Defensive Player of the Year, and finished as a top finalist for the Buck Buchannan Award.
The Salisbury,NC native led the MEAC and ranks fourth in the nation with 16 sacks for losses totaling 199 yards, and fourth in FCS in tackles for loss (24) and tied a conference and FCS-record with six sacks in a SCSU victory over Bethune-Cookman (10/25/14).
Hamilton (6-0, 185) earned Second and Third team All-MEAC honors, while leading the MEAC and nation (FCS) as the top punt return specialist in both categories. The Johnston, SC native posted an national average of 25.6 yards per punt return and two touchdowns (91 and 51 yards), while earning MEAC Special Teams Player of the Week honors twice this season (10/27/14) and (11/3/14).
On defense, Hamilton finished with 36 tackles (30 solo); 4.5 tackles for loss (18 yards); one sack, two interceptions; four pass deflects, and one fumble recovery.
