Owens Sits in Seventh in Heptathlon at the 2013 MEAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships

Antavia Owens currently sit in seventh place in the heptathlon

Greensboro, N.C.—SC State junior Antavia Owens currently sits in seventh place with 2,618 points in the heptathlon at the 2013 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Track & Field Outdoor Championships. The championships, which run thru Saturday (May 4), are being contested at the Irwin Belk Track on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University.

Owens picked up 1,752 of her points in the 100 hurdles and 200 meter dash.

Day Two of competition get underway at 9 a.m. with the conclusion of the heptathlon. The long jump will begin the open field events at 11:30 a.m. while the 100 meter hurdles will be the first event on the track.
