SC State Tennis Teams Dominate Hampton

Lady Bulldogs remain undefeated

ORANGEBURG, SC--The SC State men's and women's tennis teams dominated Hampton University today in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tennis action,Tuesday at the SCSU Tennis Complex.
     The Bulldogs improve to 7-1 on the season and 1-0 in the MEAC, with an explosive 7-0 victory over the Pirates Tuesday. Tomas Bizon led the men in action with a 6-3, 6-2 victory.
     Meanwhile, on the women's side the Lady Bulldogs were led by senior Suhaila Jad who defeated her Ried, 6-1 6-1. Teammate senior Sabrina Mendez won easily with a 6-0, 6-0 on court two to remain undefeated this season along with junior Maria Craciun and freshman Katarina Barborikova.
       "I think our men's and women's team took care of business today,” said SC State head coach Hardeep Judge. “In we will need to work out our intensity, because we will have our work cut out for against Davidson on Thursday.”
        SC State will return to action on Thursday when they host Davidson College in a non-conference matchup, beginning at 1 p.m. The Bulldog tennis staff would like to show their appreciation to their fellow athletic staff by hosting lunch. ALL Athletic Staff come out and support the SC State tennis teams.
