SC State Women’s Tennis Team Dominates Newberry

ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State women's tennis team remains perfect on the season at 7-0, knocking off the Lady Indians of Newberry College 7-0 Saturday at SCSU Courts.
       The Lady Bulldogs won the doubles point with Jad/Mendez (8-1); James/Bosneag (8-1); and Khateci/Barborikova (8-0) all posted victories.
        In women's singles action, senior Suhalia Jad defeated Strong (6-0, 6-2); sophomore AKilah James def. Aquire (6-1, 6-0); senior Sabrina Mendez def. Asbum (6-0, 6-0); freshman Victoria Khateci def. Zehi (6-1, 6-1); junior Laura Bozneag def. Hesel (6-3, 6-4); and Katarina Barborikova defeated Maimoni (6-0,6-0).
        SC State will return to action on March 10. when they battle UNC-Wilmington in a non-conference matchup.
