Lady Bulldogs Keep Rolling With 5-2 Victory Over ETSU

ORANGEBURG, SC---The South Carolina State Lady Bulldogs remain undefeated with a, 5-2, victory over East Tennessee State on Saturday at the SCSU Tennis Courts.
       SC State improves to 6-0 on the season with the victory.
      “I thought our team played really well today against a strong Division I opponent,” said SC State head coach Hardeep Judge. “Jad led the way against a nationally-ranked opponent.”
        The Lady Bulldogs claimed the doubles point with sophomore AKilah James and junior Maria Craciun defeating Kedzo/Jamie 8-3, while senior's Suhalia Jad and Sabrina Mendez claimed the point defeating Andreazza/Navrotska with an 8-3 victory.
        In singles action, at the number one spot Suhalia Jad  defeated P. Jamie 7-6, 7-5, while junior Maria Craciun at the number three defeating G.Andreazzza 6-4,6-3.
        Also posting victories were Sabrina Mendez defeating Williams 6-4, 6-0 and freshman Victoria Khatcei winning over D. Navrotska 6-2, 6-7, 6-1.
        Judge stated, “Craciun, Mendez and freshman Khatcei all played great today and I am really proud of them.”
        The Lady Bulldogs will return on action on Friday, March 2, when they host Newberry College in a non-conference matchup beginning at noon.
