Greensboro, N.C.--The SC State women's basketball dropped it's third straight Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) game as they fell to NC A&T, 94-71, at the Corbett Sports Center.
Despite the lopsided loss, SC State had three players to score in double figures led by
Tiara Knotts with13.
Tiana Hemphill added 12 and
Paris Alston scored 10 as the Lady Bulldogs fell to 6-9 overall and 2-3 in the MEAC.
Trinese Fox and
Fannie Goodwin pulled in five rebounds each in the loss.
NC A&T (7-9, 4-3) was led in scoring by Jaquayla Berry who scored a game-and-career high 31 points. The Lady Aggies had four players in all to record double-figures as Jaleesa Sams scored 13, Mikala Scott add 12 and Reisha Bullock contributed 10 points. Sams led NC A&T on the boards with nine.
SC State will look to get its first road win of the season this Monday, Jan. 24, when they close out their four-game road swing at Norfolk State on. The Lady Bulldogs will return to Orangeburg next Saturday, Jan. 29, when they host Bethune-Cookman. Tip-off for next Saturday's contest is set for 2 p.m.
