A standout and champion swimmer for the Bulldogs from 1977 to 1981... Earned four letters and a number of other honors as an Aquadog during his SC State career...Led SC State to two of three National Black Swimming and Diving titles in 1979-80 and 1980-81...1978 MVP at the Inaugural Black National Swimming & Diving Championships, 1978 team MVP and Most Improved Swimmer...Set school records (which still stands) 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard freestyle, sprint medley and freestyle relays...Was one of the earliest student-athletes of non-African American descent to receive a scholarship to SC State...Earned a bachelor’s in biology at SC State in 1981...is presently a physician assistant at North Cascade Family Practices in Bow, WA.
