Had a stalwart career as a linebacker for SC State during a solid four-year career (1977-80)... Earned three letters...All-MEAC First Team selection in 1979 & 1980...Sheridan Broadcasting Network (SBN) All-American (1980)...Honorable Mention AP Little All-American (1979)...A member of the 1977 Pittsburgh Courier National Black Championship Team...A starter on the 1980 National Black Network All-America squad...Named to the SC State Centennial (1907-2007) Football Team...Signed a free agent contract in 1981 with the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL where he spent three seasons before being traded to the Detroit Lions where he spent another three seasons...Had a very impressive high school career at Columbia (SC) High School before enrolling at SC State, where he earned his bachelor’s in health and physical education in 1981...Later became involved in prison ministry, Athletes in Action and the NFLPA...currently resides in Irving, TX.
