Jasmine is entering her first season as assistant coach of the Lady Bulldogs Volleyball Team.
Prior to SC State,Chambers completed the 2022-2023 volleyball season as a Division-I Junior College Head Coach for Lamar Community College. During her time at Lamar Community College, she was the Physical Education Adjunct Professor.
Chambers served as a volleyball graduate assistant coach at Midwestern State University. During the 2021-2022 athletic season, she assumed the role of interim head coach, where her duties included organizing the team’s schedule, conducting player tryouts, leading team practices, training and conditioning sessions, while also coordinating team travel for the program.
In 2021, Chambers was awarded the (AVCA) Diversity Coaches Award, and joined the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).
Chambers began her coaching career as a Showcase Instructor and on-site director for both the Exact Sports and College Coach Skills Camps for three seasons, throughout Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi.
During her time as a showcase instructor, Chambers provided team building activities to help develop mentor connections, along with one-on-one personal training sessions, which included self-assessment reports to help aid volleyball players to reach their full potential in the recruiting process.
A volleyball standout at Alcorn State, she captured several awards and set records as a setter for the Lady Braves. She was named team MVP, finished ninth in assists in a single season (543), 10th in assists per set in a single season (5.48) and earned multiple SWAC Setter of the Week accolades. Chambers is currently seventh on the Lady Braves All-Time Assists List with 1,250 and eighth in All-Time Assists per set. She was also a member of the women’s basketball team for one season.
The Fort Worth, Texas native earned her bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education from Alcorn State University, and a master’s degree in Sports Administration from Midwestern State.
