Sutton brings a wealth of on-court knowledge to the Lady Bulldog's program. From 2005-2006 she served as an assistant coach at Hayti High School in Hayti, MO. While at Hayti, she also served as an assistant coach with the Cool Court Program. In 2004 Sutton served as a student assistant with her Alma Mater Alcorn State. In her first season (2003) she was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Newcomer-of-the-Year and to the Second Team All-SWAC. In her final season (2004) she was named to the First Team All-SWAC, to the SWAC All-Tournament Team as well as the Most Outstanding Player of the SWAC Tournament. In that same season she was the recipient of her team's Most Outstanding Blocking Award and was named the team’s captain.
Sutton is a 2005 graduate of Alcorn State University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in political science with a minor in pre-law.  She holds professional membership in the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
