Silviu Telespan

    Assistant Coach
Silviu Telespan is in his second year as a volunteer assistant coach with the SC State women’s soccer team.  He comes to the Lady Bulldog program after working six years as the Assistant Director of Coaching at Soccer at its Best (SABA) in New York.

Telespan’s NCAA Division I experience includes serving as the men’s assistant soccer coach at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY.  He was also a camp coordinator for the University of Connecticut men’s soccer program.

Telespan was a scholarship soccer player at NCAA Division II powerhouse New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) from 2003-2006.  While at NYIT he served as team captain and led the team to three NYCAC Conference Championships and two NCAA tournament appearances. In 2005, Silviu was named MVP after helping his team reach the NCAA Division II Elite Eight.

Originally from Romania, Telespan earned his Bachelor degree in business administration from NYIT and went on to earn a master’s in Sport Business Management from Manhattanville College.  In addition he is an UEFA licensed coach and holds the West Ham United Academy Coaching Diploma.
