ORANGEBURG, S.C. — South Carolina State Athletics, in partnership with Founders Federal Credit Union, recently hosted a series of financial literacy educational sessions designed to empower Bulldog student-athletes with the knowledge and skills needed to achieve long-term financial success.
The sessions were presented to members of the football, men's basketball and women's basketball programs, reinforcing Founders Federal Credit Union's commitment to supporting student-athletes beyond the playing field. As a valued corporate partner of SC State Athletics, Founders continues to invest in the personal and professional development of Bulldogs through meaningful educational initiatives.
Led by
Stacey Adams, Financial Education Manager, and
Kerin Gibson, Branch Manager of the Killian Road Office, the interactive sessions focused on practical financial topics including budgeting, saving, credit management, financial planning and strategies for building long-term financial stability.
The program provided student-athletes with valuable life skills designed to help them make informed financial decisions during college and throughout their professional careers.
"Partnerships like the one we share with Founders Federal Credit Union demonstrate the true value of collaboration," said Oliver "Buddy" Pough, SC State Director of Athletics. "Their investment extends far beyond sponsorship.
