SC State Announces 2026 Football Game-Day Themes and Fan Colors

ORANGEBURG, S.C. — South Carolina State Athletics has announced its official game-day themes and fan colors for the 2026 football season at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium/Willie Jeffries Field.

The six-game home schedule features a variety of celebrations recognizing the university's rich traditions, community partners, military personnel, student organizations and alumni while providing Bulldog fans opportunities to showcase their school spirit through coordinated stadium color themes.

The Bulldogs open the home portion of the season on Aug. 29 against Savannah State with Hall of Fame Day and Faculty & Staff Appreciation Day. Fans are encouraged to participate in a White Out, creating a sea of white throughout the stadium.

South Carolina State returns home Sept. 12 to host Virginia State for Ag & Land Grant Day, Community & Commerce Day and Greek Night. Bulldog supporters are encouraged to wear garnet in support of the occasion.

The Oct. 3 matchup against The Citadel will serve as Youth Day and Cancer Awareness Day. Fans are encouraged to wear pink as part of the stadium-wide Pink Out initiative.

One of the most anticipated events of the season takes place Oct. 24 when the Bulldogs welcome Norfolk State for Homecoming 2026. Fans are encouraged to wear garnet and blue to celebrate the university's biggest annual gathering of alumni, students and supporters.

On Nov. 14, South Carolina State hosts North Carolina Central for Military, First Responder and ROTC Appreciation Day. Fans are encouraged to wear blue in recognition of those who serve their communities and country.

The Bulldogs conclude the home schedule Nov. 21 against Delaware State during Senior Day and High School Band Day. Fans are encouraged to wear garnet as the university honors its senior student-athletes and welcomes outstanding high school bands from across the region.
