DURHAM, NC—South Carolina State men's basketball will close out the regular season Thursday (March5)  in a pivotal Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference  finale versus host North Carolina Central inside McDougald-McLendon Arena at Durham, N.C. 
Tipoff is set for 5:00 p.m. (EST). and the game will be televised live on ESPNU

SC State Bulldogs (8-21 overall, 6-7 MEAC) vs. North Carolina Central (12-16 overall, 8-5 MEAC)

THE SERIES: NC Central leads the series 7-17 overall, dating back to 2010. The last time the two teams met South Carolina State knocked off North Carolina Central 85-72 in Orangeburg on Feb.18, 2026.

LAST TIMEOUT: South Carolina State posted in much needed road win over Delaware State 61-59 in Memorial Hall. Noah Treadwell led the way with a team-high 18 points while sophomore guard Jayden Johnson finished with 11 in the win.
Meanwhile, NCCU is looking to extend their winning streak to three straight after back-to-back wins over Delaware State (74-60) and Maryland Eastern Shore(77-33).  Gage Latimore led the way with a game-high 23 points.
