Monajah Ford finished with a team-high 16 points in 74-33 loss to host Maryland Eastern Shore Saturday (Feb. 28) inside Hytche Center.
South Carolina State falls to 5-23 overall, 2-10 in the MEAC, while UMES improves to 17-13 overall, 10-4 in the league.
Mya Giles finished with eight points in a reserve role.
UMES was led by Brianna Barnes with 16 points and seven (7) rebounds on the day.
NEXT UP: South Carolina State close out the regular season league play on the road in a MEAC Finale with NC Central Thursday (March.5) in Durham, NC.
