NORFOLK, Va. --- The South Carolina State men's basketball return to action Saturday (Feb.21) versus host Norfolk State in a 1 p.m. MEAC showdown inside Joseph G. Echols Memorial Hall.

• Saturday's game marks the 55th time the two programs have met
• Norfolk State leads the all-time series 35-18
• The series dates to 1997-98 when the Spartans defeated the Bulldogs 77-66 in Norfolk, Va.
• The last time South Carolina State defeated Norfolk State was in the 2015-16 season (60-52) in Norfolk, Va.
• Norfolk State has won 18 straight meetings against South Carolina State
• The Spartans defeated the Bulldogs 85-41 in Orangeburg on Jan. 17, 2026

• South Carolina State enters the matchup 5-20 on the season with a 2-8 record in MEAC play
• SCSU fell in a pair of games this week to Morgan State (47-73) and to North Carolina Central (65-68)
• Senior guard Lemyiah Harris leads the Bulldogs, averaging 13.4 points per game and 3.1 rebounds per contest
• Senior guard Shaunice Reed also averages double-figures with 11.7 points per game
• South Carolina State averages 56.4 points per game while allowing 69.2 per contest
• SCSU shoots 36.4 percent from the field, 26.9 percent from the 3-point line, and 63.6 percent at the free throw line
• Head Coach Cedric Baker is in his first season at South Carolina State and his 26th season as a head coach

• NSU ranks second in the MEAC in scoring margin (+3.2), turnover margin (4.08), turnovers forced per game (21.1)
• Jasha Clinton ranks third in the MEAC in points with 13.4 ppg, while Da'Brya Clark ranks second with 14.8 ppg
• Anjanae Richardson sits seventh in assists (2.3), ninth in scoring (10.4 ppg) and 18th in rebounds per game (4.4 rpg)
• Carmen Kweti ranks second in block shots per game (1.5) and 14th in rebounds per game (5.2)
