ORANGEBURG, SC—Sophomore guard
Jayden Johnson tossed in a game-high 20 points to lead South Carolina State to an impressive 85-72 victory over visiting North Carolina Central Wednesday (Feb.18) night inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
South Carolina State improves to 5-4 in league play, while NCCU falls to 6-4 on the season. The Bulldogs are currently in 4
th place in MEAC standings.
In a reserve role guard
Chris Parker finished with a season-high 18 points and seven (7) rebounds, while forward
James Morrow added 12 points and six (6) rebounds and
Owen Bronston, Jr., (12) in the win.
Senior forward
Cameron Clark provided a solid effort on "Senior Night" with 11 points and six (6) assists.
The Bulldogs dominated in sever categories including points in the pain (34-28), points off turnovers (17-13), and bench points (36-4).
