ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State men's basketball team return to action Tuesday (Jan. 20) in a non-conference showdown with Mid-Atlantic Chrisitan inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT: South Carolina State dropped a tough 82-89 setback to Norfolk State in league play. Sophomore point guard
Jayden Johnson led the way with a team-high 16 points in the loss.
Meanwhile, Mid-Atlantic is coming off back-to-back wins Warren Wilson (89-66) and Barber-Scotia (95-72). The Mustangs are led by Andre Bowles with 16.3 points and 5.7 rebounds and Janus Shepherd with 13.3 points and 3.2 rebounds.
NEXT UP: South Carolina State returns to action Saturday in an exciting MEAC showdown with Maryland Eastern Shore in a 4:30 p.m. tipoff inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
