BALTIMORE, Md. —The South Carolina State men's basketball team look to bounce back versus Coppin State Monday (Jan. 12) night in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play inside the Physical Complex Arena.
Tipoff is set for 7:00 PM and will be televised live on ESPN+.
SETTING THE STAGE: South Carolina State (2-15 overall, 1-1 MEAC) look to get back on the winning track after a tough 72-62 loss to Morgan State in league play.
Jayden Johnson led the way with a game-high 23 points in the loss.
Meanwhile, Coppin State (3-16 overall, 1-1 MEAC) look to bounce back as well after coming off an 88-77 loss to North Carolina Central in their last outing. Jamari Piercy tossed in a team-high 19 points.
COPPIN STATE VS. SCSU SERIES NOTES: Coppin State leads the series 15-12 overall dating back to 2007-08. The last time the two teams met South Carolina State defeated Coppin State 68-62 on March 12, 2025, in Orangeburg, SC.
NEXT UP: South Carolina State returns home next week for another conference test with Norfolk State in a 4:30 p.m. start inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
