ORANGEBURG, SC--- Senior defensive back Jarod Washington has been selected to a pair of prestigious preseason honors which was recently announced.
 
Washington was named to the 2025 FCS Football Central Preseason All-American Second Team and Boxtorow HBCU College Football All-America Team.
 
Washington (6-2, 188) a native of Fredericksburg, VA last season was an All-MEAC First Team selection including being named to the Boxtorow All-America Team. He appeared in all 13 games finishing 6^th on the team in tackles with 40 (31 solo), two (2) interceptions returned for touchdowns and 12 pass breakups.

South Carolina State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level intercollegiate athletic program.
