BALTIMORE, MD— The Reigning Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Champion South Carolina State Bulldogs was picked 1
st to repeat as league champions, as voted on by MEAC head football coaches and sports information directors.
Three (3) South Carolina State Bulldogs were a named to the 2025 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Preseason Football All-Conference team.
The announcements were made Tuesday (July 22
nd) at the M&T Bank Stadium, home of the National Football League's (NFL) Baltimore Ravens, in Baltimore, Maryland.
South Carolina State, the 19x MEAC Champion was picked No. 1 with 5 first-place votes followed by NC Central at No. 2, Morgan State at No. 3, Norfolk State at No. 4, Howard at No. 5 and Delaware State at No. 6 respectively.
Earning All-MEAC First Team honors for South Carolina State were HBCU All-American defensive back
Jarod Washington, followed by defensive lineman
Josh Barker and offensive lineman
Roger Smith named to All-MEAC Preseason Second Team.
The Bulldogs will begin their quest for a repeat on August 30
th at home versus Wofford inside Oliver C. Dawson Stadium on Willie Jeffries Field. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
