ORANGEBURG, SC—Sophomore forward Drayton Jones recorded the games only double-double with 15 points, 12 rebounds and four (4) blocks to lead South Carolina State to a season sweep over Howard Monday (March 3^rd) inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.

Senior forward Davion Everett finished with a team-high 19 points and six (6) rebounds, while freshman guard Jayden Johnson added 12 in the win.

The Bulldog defense played lights out forcing Howard to 15 turnovers, six blocks and seven steals on the day. SCSU captured its 8^th straight win and is tied for 1^st place in league standings with Norfolk State at 10-3 in the MEAC.

South Carolina State led in several categories including points off turnovers (20-19), fast break points (17-10), and bench points (33-30).

NEXT UP: South Carolina State will close out the regular season at home versus North Carolina Central Thursday (March .6) in an exciting doubleheader, beginning with the women in a 5:30 pm start followed by a 7:30 pm tipoff with the men.
