ORANGEBURG, SC – The South Carolina State track and field teams will open their 2025 outdoor campaign Saturday at the all-day Weems Baskin Invitational, hosted by the University of South Carolina at its Cregger Track and Field Complex at 201 Marion Street in Columbia. The competition gets underway at 10 a.m. with field events, with running events set to start at 12 p.m.
Saturday's meet is the first of 11 dates on the SC State 2025 schedule, which includes the Sharonda Coleman-Singleton Memorial Classic April 19, hosted by the university at the Lorry H. Dawkins Track Facility on campus.
Following Weems Baskin, SC State will return to the Morehouse Relays/Multis in Atlanta, GA (Mar 27) for a Thursday meet. Other meets to follow include Embry-Riddle ERAU Classic/Multis at Daytona Beach (Apr. 3), USC Gamecock Invitational at Columbia (Apr. 12), UCF Knights Invite at Orlando, FL (Apr. 25), and North Florida East Coast Relays at Tampa, FL (May 2).
The schedule concludes with four postseason meets – the MEAC Championships at Norfolk, VA (May 15-17), the NCAA Preliminary National Championships at Jacksonville, FL (May 28-31), the NCAA Championships at Eugene, OR (Jun. 11-13), and the USATF Outdoor Under 10 National Championships at Eugene, OR (July 31).
