PRINCESS ANNE, MD—The South Carolina State men's basketball team will look to extend their winning streak when they face Maryland Eastern Shore in a pivotal Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) battle inside Hytche Center. Tipoff is set for 8 PM.
The Bulldogs (14-12 overall, 7-3/2
nd place) enters the contest after coming off an impressive 94-88 overtime win over Delaware State on Saturday. Sophomore guard
Mitchell Taylor finished with a team-high 23 points, while
Drayton Jones added 19 in the win.
Meanwhile, UMES (4-21 overall, 0-9 MEAC) dropped their last contest to Howard 62-86 in Washington, DC. The Hawks was recently scheduled to play NC Central on Saturday (Feb.23) but the game was postponed due to bad weather.
NEXT UP: The Bulldogs will round out regular season play with three straight home games beginning with Norfolk State on March.1, Howard on March. 3
rd , followed by NC Central on March 6
th . All the games will be played in Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
