KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The South Carolina State men's basketball team dropped a tough, 105-54, setback on the road Tuesday (Dec. 30) night to nationally ranked #19/20 Tennessee inside Food City Center.
Sophomore guard Jayden Johnson led the way with a game-high 25 points, while connecting 4-of-6 from 3-point range in 26 minutes of play. Rayniel Wright added six points in the loss.
South Carolina State falls to 1-14 overall, while Tennessee improves to 10-3.
NEXT UP: South Carolina State will open Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play Saturday (Jan.3) inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial play in an exciting doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. for the women, followed by a 4 p.m. start for the men.
