BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Junior forward
James Morrow tossed in a career-best 22-points and grabbed a team-high seven (7) rebounds, but it wasn't enough as South Carolina State dropped their second-straight non-conference contest to Samford Friday (Nov.7) 82-72 inside the Pete Hanna Center.
Newcomer
Owen Bronston, Jr. finished with 16 points and four (4) rebounds, while Jayden Johson added 13 points and eight (8) assist in the loss.
In a reserve role
D'Shay Knights Wright chipped in eight (8) points and fiver rebounds, along with
Noah Treadwell's seven (7) points on the day.
NEXT UP: South Carolina State returns to action in non-conference play Monday (Nov. 10) on the road versus North Carolina A&T State in Greensboro, NC. Tipoff is 7:00 p.m.
