ORANGEBURG, SC— The South Carolina State women's basketball team returns to action on Thursday (Nov. 13) in a non-conference battle with SEC foe University of Georgia inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Tipoff is 7:00 p.m.

UGA lost to SC State, 77-72, at SC State back in 1994. Overall, Georgia owns an 11-1 lead in the all-time series.

LAST TIMEOUT:  SC State (2-0) captured their second win of the season in a 108-42 routing of Trinity College of Jacksonville. Mya Byrd led the way with a team-high 17 points and three (3) assists, while guard Shaunice Reed added 15 points and six (6) steals in the win. Lemyiah Harris chipped in 14 points and five (5) assists and Janiah Hinton finished with 13 points.

UGA is off to an 3-0 start with wins over Alabama State (73-44), Furman (91-45) and USC Upstate (78-44). Four Lady Bulldogs is scoring double figures with Dani Carnegie leading the way with 16.7 points, Rylie Theuerkauf with 13.0 ppg, Mia Woolfolk  with 12 points and Tinity Turner with 10.3 points per outing.
