ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State men's basketball team look to get things back on track Monday (Jan. 13) when they host the visiting Hawks of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) in MEAC play inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial play.
Tipoff for the men is 7:30 pm, immediately following the women's contest in a 5:30 pm start.

THE SERIES: South Carolina State leads the series 18-6 dating back to 2005-06. The last time the two teams met the Bulldogs defeated the Hawks 64-56 on Feb. 26, 2024.
BULLDOG BITE: South Carolina State (8-10 overall, 2-1 MEAC) suffered their first league loss of the season after a tough 75-76 defeat to visiting Delaware State. SCSU was led by
Omar Croskey with 18 points and
Mitchell Taylor with 16, followed by teammate
Davion Everett with 11.
INSIDE LOOK AT UMES: Maryland Eastern Shore (4-14 overall, 0-2 MEAC) seek their first conference win of the season after coming off an 69-88 loss to North Carolina Central. Ketron Shaw led the way with a team-high 15 points, while Christopher Flippin added 10 in the loss.
