ORANGEBURG, SC—Graduate quarterback
Eric Phoenix threw a game-high 367-yards connecting 22-of-33 three (3) touchdowns to lead South Carolina State to an impressive, 45-25, win over North Carolina A&T Saturday inside Oliver C. Dawson Stadium.
South Carolina State improved to 2-2 on the season, snapping a seven-game losing streak to the Aggies.
The Bulldogs amassed a season-high 521-yard total offense.
Caden High led the way receiving with eight (8) catches for 152-yards and one (1) touchdown, while Einaj Cater finished with four (4) for 59-yards a score.
Deondra Duehart finished with 20 carries for 87-yards and two touchdowns, while
KZ Adams tallied seven (7) rushes for 57-yards and a touchdown.
Aaron Smith spearheaded the defense with a game-high 10 tackles.
