INDIANAPOLIS – The defending MEAC Champion South Carolina State men's tennis team will face No.6 national seed Wake Forest in the opening round of the NCAA Men's Tennis Championship, as announced on NCAA.com on Monday afternoon.
South Carolina State will face ACC foe Wake Forest on Friday, May 3 at 5 p.m., with the winner moving on to face the winner of Arizona State and Georgia on Saturday (May 4).
Monday's nod marked the Bulldogs fourth (4
th) straight NCAA Tournament appearance and their 19
th in school history. Under the direction of head coach Hardeep Judge, South Carolina State has captured 16 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Championships dating back to 2002 when Judge took over the program.
