ORANGEBURG, SC --- South Carolina State returns home for non-conference play Thursday (Dec. 5) inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center versus Samford in a 7 p.m. start.

The Bulldogs (4-5 overall) looking to snap a two-game losing skid after suffering back-to-back losses to Marshall (53-82) and a close loss to #22 Xavier 68-71.

Sophomore forward Drayton Jones leads the way with 11.6 points and 5.0 rebounds in nine (9) games played, while guard Omar Croskey chips in 9.6 ppg along with Wilson Dubinsky at 8.8 points per contest.

Samford (7-1) is coming off an impressive 86-65 win over West Georgia. The Bulldogs have four players in double figures with Jaden Brownell leading the way with 15 points, along with Trey Fort adding 12.6 and
teammates Collin Holloway's 11.9 and Rylan Jones 10.9 ppg.

NEXT UP:  South Carolina State will host Charleston Southern on Monday (Dec. 9) in non-conference play inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Tipoff is 7 pm.
