GEORGIA : Two Bulldogs lead the way for Georgia in De'Shayne Montgomery tossing double figures at 19.5 ppg, including a 22-point outburst in Georgia's most recent outing against Charleston Southern. While, Asa Newel, a two-time SEC Freshman of the Week honoree in the first five weeks of the season, is averaging 15.8 ppg and paces UGA on the boards at 6.5 rpg.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
South Carolina State is currently 6-8 on the season, including a pair of road wins.
Drayton Jones paces the Bulldogs in scoring (13.0 ppg), rebounding (5.0 rpg) and blocks (1.5 bpg). Jones' 23.8 minutes per game also leads S.C. State, and he is one of 10 players averaging double-figure minutes. Eight of those Bulldogs have delivered double-digit assists, led by 33 from
Mitchell Taylor.
Georgia and S.C. State have faced a pair of common opponents. UGA defeated Jacksonville, 102-56, and Charleston Southern, 81-65, while SCSU fell to the Dolphins, 71-62, and defeated the Buccaneers, 82-63.

Georgia is 2-0 all-time against South Carolina State, with a pair of early season wins in Stegeman Coliseum during the 2006-07 and 2021-22 campaigns.
