CONWAY, SC– South Carolina State State women's basketball suffered its toughest defeat of the season in a 104-58 loss to Coastal Carolina Saturday (Dec. 21) inside HTC Arena.
Newcomer
Shaunice Reed tossed in a game-high 27 points, connected 11-of-16 from the floor in 34 minutes of play in the loss.
Despite the loss, the Lady Bulldogs (1-14 overall) finished with 36-points in the paint, but managed a costly game-high 26 costly turnovers on the day.
Janiah Hinton and
Jennesse Byrd each finished with eights points respectively.
NEXT UP: The Lady Bulldogs will close out the new year on the road versus SEC foe Mississippi State in a 2 pm tipoff in Starkville, Miss.
