SPARTANBURG, S.C. —South Carolina State sophomore forward
Drayton Jones posted once another breakout game tossing in a team-high 14 points and two (2) blocks to lead the Bulldogs to an, 85-70, win over USC-Upstate Tuesday (Dec.18) inside G.B. Hodge Center.
South Carolina State improves to 6-7, while USC-Upstate falls to 4-10 on the season.

South Carolina State led in several categories including:
- Points off turnovers 18-16.
- Fast break points 9-7.
- Bench points 27-18.
- Rebounds 37-31.
- Steals 14-6, while forcing a game-high 21 turnovers.
Next up: South Carolina State remains on the road versus Northern Kentucky in a non-conference battle Saturday (Dec. 21) in a 1 p.m. start.
