ORANGEBURG, SC—
Einaj Carter had a pair of big catches they led to two touchdowns and 82-yards receiving to lead South Carolina State to an, 30-3, win over visiting Fort Valley State Saturday (Oct. 19
th) inside Oliver C. Dawson Stadium/Willie E. Jeffries Field.
The Bulldogs improve to 4-2 overall, 0-0 in the MEAC, while Fort Valley State falls to 4-3 overall, 4-1 in the SIAC).
SC State jumped on the board early off a 2-yard run by running back
Deondra Duehart at the 12:27 mark in the second quarter. Carter scored on his first touchdown of the day off a 43-yard toss from quarterback
Eric Phoenix with 1:45 remaining in the half to extend the lead to 14-0 before intermission.
Redshirt freshman
Kyle Gallegos, three-time MEAC Rookie of the Week nailed a 25-yard field goal to give the Bulldogs an, 17-0, lead midway through the third quarter. Phoenix connected with Carter once again for a 39-yard touchdown with 4:15 remaining in the third quarter.
FVSU kicked Daniel Gibbs put the Wildcats on the board off a 39-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter. Back up quarterback
Ryan Stubblefield sealed the deal on a 10-yard scamper with 0:52 seconds remaining to secure an 30-3 win.
The defense was led by true freshman Ka' Von Chisolm with five tackles and two tackles for loss and two sacks for 22-yards. Linebacker
Aaron Smith and defensive lineman John Hannibal added five each respectfully.
Senior punter
Dyson Roberts had a solid day punting with seven (7) punts for 307-yards| 43.9 yards per punt with a long of 67-yards with two inside the 20 and two over 50+ yards and one touchback.

th) during "HOMECOMING 2024) at Oliver. C. Dawson Stadium. Kickoff is 3:30 pm and will be televised live on ESPN+.
