ATLANTA, GA—The Defending MEAC Champion South Carolina State men's tennis team will begin their quest for yet another Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Championship Saturday (Jan. 20) when they open the season on the road at Georgia State. First serve is 5 p.m.
The SCSU tennis team is set to play 18 matches this season.
The Bulldogs are slated to host only three matches at home at the Hardeep Judge Tennis Center beginning with Campbell (Feb.11), Wofford (Feb.24) and Norfolk State on Apr.1 in Orangeburg.
South Carolina State returns six players from last season championship team, including four newcomers in
Vanja Petrov,
Nithis Nallusamy,
Gavin Johnson and
Gabriel Johnson.
NEXT UP: South Carolina State return to action Saturday, Jan. 27 versus Coastal Carolina in a non-conference matchup, beginning at 1 p.m. in Conway, SC.
