ORANGEBURG, SC- The South Carolina State women's soccer team will open the 2023 season on the road Thursday (Aug. 17) against Georgia State at the GSU Soccer Complex in Atlanta, GA.
 
First kick is slated for 7 pm.
 
SC State closed out the 2022 season with an 2-18 overall record. After a 0-12 start, Interim Head Coach Liz-Amanda Brown took over the team to finish with a 2-6 mark.
 
The Lady Bulldogs will compete in six (6) home games this season at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium/Willie Jeffries Field.  SC State opens the season at home versus UNC-Asheville on August 27th at 4:30 pm, followed by contests with College of Charleston on Aug. 29th at 6 pm and Charleston Southern on September 5th at 3 pm.
 
Next up East Tennessee State comes to town on Sept. 17th at 2 pm followed by a visit from Gardner-Webb on Sept. 20th at 6 pm. On Oct. 28, SCSU's final home showdown versus USC-Aiken at 1 pm.
 
South Carolina State will embark on an additional ten (10) road games during the 2023 season.
