BALTIMORE, MD—Nicole Gwynn led the Lady Bulldogs with a game-high 26 points and grabbed seven rebounds to knock off Coppin State, 63-61, and lead South Carolina State to its first Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) win of the season Saturday (Feb.4^th) at Physical Education Complex.

Lovely Sonnier added 12 points and eight rebounds, while Janiah Hinton chipped in nine and five rebounds in the win.

South Carolina State improves to 2-19 overall, 1-5 in the MEAC, while Coppin State falls to 4-16 overall, 1-4 in the league.

The Lady Bulldogs with just seven players on hand, dominated in several categories including points in the paint (30-18), field goal percentage (48.2%-35.8%) and three-point percentage (42.9%-33.3%).

Coppin State was led by Jewel Watkins with 25 points and nine rebounds and Mossi Staples added 17 in the loss.

NEXT UP: The Lady Bulldogs will make of pair of league contest with Coppin State on Feb.4^th at 2 p.m. and Morgan State on Feb.6^th at 5:30 p.m. in Baltimore, MD.
