GREENVILLE, SC—Davion Everett finished with a game-high 23 points along with five (5) rebounds, but it wasn't enough as South Carolina State dropped a tough 78-86 decision on the road at Furman Tuesday (Nov.28
th) inside Timmons Arena.
Sophomore guard
Jordan Simpson contributed 10 points, while
Wilson Dubinsky added 12 and
Mitchell Taylor and
Drayton Jones (7 rebounds) each chipped in seven (7) respectively in the loss.
Despite the loss, South Carolina State led in several categories including Second Chance Points (16-13) and Rebounds (18-16).
The Paladins were led by PJ Smith with 20 points and Marcus Foster with 16 in the win.
South Carolina State falls to 2-6 on the season, while Furman improved to 4-3.
