Box Score ORANGEBURG, SC – Lady Bulldogs came up short of capturing their first Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) win of the year in a 0-3 defeat to North Carolina Central Friday (Oct. 13th) Dukes Gymnasium.
Leading the charge for SC State was junior outside hitter, Kiyah Felder finished with nine kills and one block. Meanwhile, opposite hitters Hailey Harris and Eleisha Thompson swung for seven kills each.
Freshman setter, Kaia Barnett dished out 28 assists on the season while also contributing one ace.
On the defensive end, there was a collective effort from Trinity Stevenson with eight digs, Miyah Benson with six digs, and Senior Chelsea Cole added five digs for the Lady Bulldogs. Shamira Andrews held strong finishing with a season-high four blocks.
UP NEXT: The Lady Bulldogs will host Norfolk State on Sunday, Oct. 22nd at 1 p.m., then host a 6:00 p.m. match against Howard on Monday, Oct. 23rd.
