Lady Bulldogs Drop MEAC Contest To Delaware State

ORANGEBURG, SC—A game-high 27 turnovers doomed the Lady Bulldogs, as South Carolina State suffered a ,58-49, league setback to Delaware State Monday (Jan. 23rd) at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
 
South Carolina State falls to 1-17 overall, 0-3 in the MEAC, while Delaware State improves to 4-12 overall, 2-3 in the league.
 
Rakyha Reid led the way for the Lady Bulldogs with 11 points and five rebounds, while Janiah Hinton and Jayah Hicks added eight (8) points each in the loss. Hicks also grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.
 
DSU was led by Savannah Brooks with 18 points and five rebounds, while Tyshonne Tollie chipped in 11.
 
NEXT UP: The Lady Bulldogs hit the road in a two-game league skid at Norfolk State (Jan,28th) and Howard (Jan. 30th).
