ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The South Carolina State women's soccer team will be on the road Sunday for a showdown with UNC Asheville at Greenwood Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on ESPN+.

About UNC-A – Asheville dropped its first match of 2022 on Thursday as it was edged out by The Citadel, 2-1. With Thursday's result, the Bulldogs are now 1-1-1 on the 2022 campaign.

About South Carolina State – South Carolina State is still in search of its first win of the season as it brings an 0-2 record with it to Asheville. SCSU has dropped decisions to Stetson (6-0) and Charleston Southern (5-0) so far this fall.

Series Rewind vs. SCSU – Asheville is 10-2 all-time against South Carolina State with the lone setbacks occurring in 2010 and 2013. Sunday's match will be the first meeting between the two programs since 2014. Furthermore, Asheville has outscored South Carolina State 46-10 in the 12 all-time matchups.
