SC State On The Road At Queens University of Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After suffering a tough season-opener on the road at East Carolina, the South Carolina State Lady Bulldogs look to turn things around Thursday (Nov.10th) at Queens University of Charlotte inside Curry Arena.
 
Tip-off time is 5 p.m. and Admission is FREE.

LAST TIME OUT

South Carolina State is currently 0-1 after opening their season with a 71-35 loss to East Carolina, while Queens is 1-0 after and 81-29 victory over Pfeiffer.

This meeting between the two teams is the first in program history.
 
GAME NOTES

South Carolina State (0-1; 0-0 MEAC)
  • The Bulldogs are coached by Tim Eatman who is in his first season at the helm. He spent the prior seven seasons as an associate head coach at Rutgers University.
  • In their first game, South Carolina State was led by junior forward Gift Sampson who posted 11 points. 
  • South Carolina State is coming off a 4-25 season, competing in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
Queens University of Charlotte (1-0; 0-0 ASUN)
  • Queens boasts a 1-0 record for the second-consecutive season, having beaten Emory & Henry in last year's season opener.
  • Of the team's 13 student-athletes, nine are newcomers as of this season. 
  • With each ASUN team having a game under their belt, Queens ranks third in free-throw percentage (80%), second in offensive rebounds (21), and first in steals (23).
